PLAYING AROUND SINCE 1951

The Players have been entertaining local audiences since 1951. In 1964, we became the first group ever to perform at the Washington Crossing State Park Open Air Theatre with our production of George Bernard Shaw's The Devil's Disciple. The following year, we performed our first musical, Plain and Fancy, which was also the first musical to appear at the OAT.

The WizThe next Pennington Players' production will be THE WIZ.   Ease on down the road with the Pennington Players in this multi-cultural re-telling of the L. Frank Baum classic, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."   A multi Tony award winner, including Best Musical (1975), and with a book by William F. Brown and Music and Lyrics by Charlie Smalls, "The Wiz" merges Dorothy and her friends with the rhythms and soul of Motown.  "The Wiz" brings to life the usual " Wizard of Oz" characters and a few you may not know as well.
